Any of various low-growing plants of the genus Myosotis, of the borage family; esp. M. scorpioides, which has bright blue flowers with a yellow centre; a flowering stem of such a plant. Also (locally or with specifying word), any of various (cultivated ornamental) plants resembling these, usu. with small, bright blue flowers. M16.
Alpine forget-me-not (a) any of various mountain plants of the genus Myosotis, esp. M. alpestris; (b) N. Amer. any of several plants of the Rocky Mountains of the genus Eritrichium, of the borage family. Cape forget-me-not a plant of the borage family native to southern Africa, Anchusa capensis. Chinese forget-me-not a hound's tongue, Cynoglossum amabile, native to eastern Asia.
The ground pine, Ajuga chamaepitys. Only in L16.
