Ecclesiastical History. Of or pertaining to John Hutchinson (1674-1737), a writer on natural philosophy who interpreted the Bible mystically and opposed Newtonian philosophy. Also, of or pertaining to Anne Hutchinson (1591-1643), an antinomian teacher in New England. M18.
Medicine. (Also hutchinsonian.) Designating an incisor notched in the manner of Hutchinson's teeth. E20.
