Used attrib. or in possess. to designate various animals described by Montagu.
Montagu's blenny a small blenny, Coryphoblennius galerita, of intertidal pools around the Mediterranean and NE Atlantic. Montagu's harrier a relatively small migratory Eurasian harrier, Circus pygargus. Montagu shell (the shell of) any of various small marine bivalves of the family Montacutidae, which live as commensals on echinoderms. Montagu's sea-snail a small fish of the NE Atlantic, Liparis montagui, which feeds on littoral crustaceans.
