A person who accepts. rare in gen. sense. LME.
b. spec. A person who accepts a bill. M17.
Chemistry & Physics. An atom or molecule which receives electrons or which can combine with another (specified) atom or molecule. E20.
b. An impurity atom in a semiconductor which has fewer valency electrons than the majority of atoms and effectively contributes a conducting hole to the material. M20.
Electricity. In full acceptor circuit. A circuit tuned so as to accept signals within a particular range of frequencies. E20.
