A portable or fixed contrivance for producing a blast of air, esp. for fanning a fire or for supplying an organ, harmonium, etc. (The simplest form consists of two boards connected by flexible sides and enclosing a cavity of alterable volume so that air may be drawn in and then expelled through an attached nozzle.) ME.
