verb intrans. Make a quick short movement up and down; rebound; dance; curtsy; come or go in, into, up, etc., quickly or briefly. LME.
bob and weave make quick bodily movements up and down and from side to side (as a boxer evading punches, etc.). bob for try to catch (floating or hanging fruit) with the mouth, as a game.
