A monetary unit equal to one-hundredth of a franc in Switzerland and certain other countries (including France, Belgium, and Luxembourg until the introduction of the euro in 2002). Also, a monetary unit equal to one-hundredth of a gourde in Haiti or of a dirham in Morocco.
