A fragrant southern Asian grass, Cymbopogon nardus; an oil distilled from this (also citronella oil), often used to keep insects away.
citronellal noun [-AL2] a terpenoid aldehyde, C10H18O, found esp. in citronella, rose, and geranium oils L19.
citronellol noun the corresponding alcohol, C10H20O, obtained from similar sources; also called
rhodinol: L19.

McVeigh, Timothy (oh)



(1968-2001) a US man who was accused of exploding a bomb in front of a government building in Oklahoma City in 1996. More than 160 people were killed by the explosion. A court found him guilty of this crime in 1997, and sentenced him to death. He was killed in 2001.
