Bloom, burst out into or as into flower. L18.
a. Chemistry. Of a crystalline substance: turn to fine powder through loss of water or exposure to air. L18.
b. Of a salt: be carried in solution to the surface of the ground etc. and crystallize there. Of the ground, a wall, or other surface: become covered with particles of a salt. E19.
