Law.
The action of putting a person in possession of property, rents, etc., under the feudal system; the mode of conveying freehold property by livery of seisin. ME.
charter of feoffment, deed of feoffment: recording or (later) effecting a feoffment.
b. More fully feoffment of trust, feoffment upon trust, feoffment to uses. A conveyance of land to one person in trust for another, or for certain uses. L15.
Possession of property as a result of feoffment; the property itself. Only in ME.
