Rap Pat - Poker (gambling)
1) Stand pat, that is, at the point when one is supposed to draw, tap the table with one' s cards or rap on the table with one' s knuckles as an indication that one will not draw any cards. 2) Extended figuratively, draw no cards (but without necessarily actually performing the act of tapping the table with one' s cards or rapping with one' s knuckles).
