Ornamental interlaced work; esp. a decorative network of jewels or flowers for the hair. LME.
Heraldry. Orig., a figure formed by alternate interlacing bendlets and bendlets sinister. Later, a device consisting of two narrow bands in saltire interlaced with a mascle. LME.
