Caramel Corn Apple-O' s

Yield: Makes 8 balls



Ingredients:



7cups popped butter-flavor microwave popcorn

2-1/4cups apple cinnamon cereal rings

1/2cup chopped dried apples or apricots

1/4cup chopped nuts (optional)

1package (14 ounces) caramels

2tablespoons butter or margarine

1to 2 tablespoons water

Long cinnamon sticks or wooden craft sticks (optional)









Preparation:





1.Combine popcorn, cereal, dried apples and nuts, if desired, in large bowl.2.Place caramels, butter and water in large microwavable bowl; microwave on HIGH 2-1/2 to 3 minutes or until melted and smooth, stirring after each minute.3.Pour caramel mixture over popcorn mixture; toss with buttered wooden spoon to coat. Let set until cool enough to handle.4.Shape mixture into 8 balls with damp hands. Shape balls around cinnamon sticks, if desired. Place on lightly buttered waxed paper until ready to serve.
