Something cut up into small pieces; spec. a dish of chopped (esp. previously cooked) meat heated with gravy, potatoes, etc.; fig. old matter served up in a new form (now chiefly passing into sense 3). M17.
A stupid person, one who is careless or muddled in speech or action. Scot. M17.
A (spoiled) mixture of jumbled incongruous things; a mess, a muddle. Freq. in make a hash of below. M18.
Noise in a received signal due to imperfect equipment; gen. Radio noise. M20.
