More fully mandarin orange. A citrus fruit resembling a small flattened orange, but with sweet pulp and easily detached peel; esp. one with yellow or pale orange peel. Also, the tree bearing this fruit, Citrus reticulata, widely grown in subtropical regions. Cf. SATSUMA, TANGERINE. L18.
