Haplosporidia


An order of sporozoans, now placed in the protozoan phylum Ascetospora, class Stellatosporea, that reproduce asexually by schizogony and produce spores but no flagella, though pseudopodia may be present.

Origin: haplo-+ G. Sporos, seed
