mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome
<syndrome> An acute febrile illness in children first described in Japan in the late 1960's. Referred to as mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome because of typical changes in the mucus membranes that line the lips and mouth. Enlarged and tender lymph glands are also seen.

Synonym:: Kawasaki disease.
