A thin flat cake made of batter, usu. lightly fried and turned in a pan and often rolled up with a filling. ME.

Nautical. A piece of pancake-ice. M19.
A flat hat. Also pancake beret, pancake hat, etc. US. L19.
More fully pancake landing. A landing in which an aircraft drops vertically after having levelled out close to the ground, e.g. when its landing gear is damaged or as a result of an unintended stall. E20.
(Also Pan-Cake.) (Proprietary name for) make-up, esp. foundation in the form of a flat cake. M20.
