Age of Responsibility (law)

Responsibility in criminal law involves being fully aware that what you are doing is wrong. Children under 10 are considered too young to be found guilty of a crime. Young people between 10 and 14 years of age may be found guilty of a crime, if the courts believe that they knew that what they were doing was wrong. Young people of 14 and over are normally assumed to know when an action was wrong.
