Decorator Frosting (recipes)




Yield: Makes 2 cups



Ingredients:



3/4cup butter, softened

4-1/2cups powdered sugar, sifted

3tablespoons water

1teaspoon vanilla

1/4teaspoon almond extract









Preparation:





1.Beat butter in medium bowl with electric mixer at medium speed until smooth. Add 2 cups sugar. Beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add water and extracts. Beat at low speed until well blended, scraping down side of bowl once. Beat in remaining 2-1/2 cups sugar until mixture is creamy.







Note:

This frosting is perfect for piping, but is less durable than Royal Icing. Bumping, stacking and handling may damage decorations.
