1. A sweet viscid fluid, especially. That collected by bees from flowers of plants, and deposited in the cells of the honeycomb.

Honey is often used adjectively or as the first part of compound; as, honeydew or honey dew; honey guide or honeyguide; honey locust or honey-locust. Honey ant, one of numerous species of small passerine birds of the family Meliphagidae, abundant in Australia and Oceania; called also honeysucker.
