Tempting Tuna Parmesano (recipes)


Tempting Tuna Parmesano

Prep and Cook Time: 16 minutes

Yield: Makes 2 to 3 servings



Ingredients:



2large cloves garlic

1package (9 ounces) refrigerated fresh angel hair pasta

1/4cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine

1cup whipping cream

1cup frozen peas

1/4teaspoon salt

1can (6 ounces) white tuna in water, drained

1/4cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus additional for serving

Black pepper









Preparation:





1.Fill large deep skillet 3/4 full with water. Cover and bring to a boil over high heat. Meanwhile, peel and mince garlic.2.Add pasta to skillet; boil 1 to 2 minutes or until pasta is al dente. Do not overcook. Drain; set aside.3.Add butter and garlic to skillet; cook over medium-high heat until butter is melted and sizzling. Stir in cream, peas and salt; bring to a boil.4.Break tuna into chunks and stir into skillet with 1/4 cup cheese. Return pasta to skillet. Cook until heated through; toss gently. Serve with additional cheese and pepper to taste.







Serving Suggestion:

Serve with a tossed romaine and tomato salad with Italian dressing.
