Class IV viruses, with a single positive strand of RNA and an icosahedral capsid. There are two main classes: enteroviruses, which infect the gut and include poliovirus and the rhinoviruses that infect the upper respiratory tract (common cold virus, Coxsackie A and B, Foot and Mouth disease virus and hepatitis A).
