carmovirus


A genus in the family tombusviridae mostly found in temperate regions. Some species infecting legumes are reported from tropical areas. most viruses are soil-borne, but some are transmitted by the fungus olpidium radicale and others by beetles. Carnation mottle virus is the type species.
