Mother Teresa (oh)



(1910-97) an Albanian Roman Catholic nun (=a member of a group of Christian religious women) who lived in India, where she worked to help the poor and the sick in the city of Calcutta . She won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, and people think of her as a typical example of someone who is very kind, unselfish, and morally good.
