A vaginitis caused by infection with the yeast-like organism, Candida albicans.

Symptoms include vaginal redness, itching, pain and a cheesy, white, curd-like vaginal discharge. Treatment is with antifungal agents such as clotrimazole (Lotrimin Cream).
