disease, conor and bruch's
African tick typhus, one of the tick-borne rickettsial diseases of the eastern hemisphere, similar to Rocky Mountain spotted fever, but less severe, with fever, a small ulcer (tache noire) at the site of the tick bite, swollen glands nearby (satellite lymphadenopathy), and a red raised (maculopapular) rash. Also called boutonneuse and fièvre boutonneuse.

polyribonucleotide nucleotidyltransferase (medicine)

polyribonucleotide nucleotidyltransferase
<enzyme> An enzyme of the transferase class that catalyses the reaction RNA(n+1) and orthophosphate to yield RNA(n) and a nucleoside diphosphate, or the reverse reaction. ADP, idp, GDP, udp, and cdp can act as donors in the latter case.

Chemical name: Polyribonucleotide:orthophosphate nucleotidyltransferase

Registry number: EC 2.7.7.8
