Arachnoiditis (health)


Fibrosis (rather than inflammation) of the arachnoid membrane with scarring around the theca and nerve roots. May be associated with chronic back pain. It may follow spinal surgery and has also been associated with the use of Myodil (an X-ray contrast medium) in the past.
