Erewhon (oh)



a book by the British writer Samuel Butler ,published in 1872. Erewhon was an imaginary land discovered by a traveller, and Butler used it for a satire on British hypocrisy and the way society thought about crime and Religion. Many years later he wrote a second book, called Erewhon Revisited.
