Celebrated 17th-century mosque in E?fahan, Iran.

The mosque, part of the rebuilding effort of the ?afavid shah Abbas I, was located at the centre of E?fahan, along a great central mall called the maydan. Along with neighbouring structures of the period, it is notable for its logically precise vaulting and use of coloured tiles.
