A horizontal plane midway between the superior margins of the manubrium sterni and the symphysis pubis; the pylorus is not usually located on this plane in life.

Synonym: planum transpyloricum.

A vessel, usu. of glass, having a bulb and a long recurved neck and used for distilling liquids. E17.
