Definition: [crh] A local and state tax-free bond issued by the U.S. government from 1941 to 1979, which was then replaced by Series HH bonds.

statistical mechanics the description of physical phenomena in terms of a statistical treatment of the behaviour of large numbers of atoms, molecules, etc., esp. as regards the distribution of energy among them.
