Deng Xiaoping (oh)



(1904-97) a Chinese politician who was the most powerful person in the Chinese Communist Party from 1977 until his death, although he never officially ruled China. He is known for starting the important changes that helped China to develop its economy and industry, and to do more business with Western countries.
