Braised Shrimp with Vegetables

Yield: Makes 4 servings



Ingredients:



1teaspoon cornstarch

1/2cup chicken broth

1teaspoon oyster sauce

1/4teaspoon sugar

1/2teaspoon minced fresh ginger

1/8teaspoon black pepper

1tablespoon vegetable oil

1pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

8ounces fresh broccoli, coarsely chopped

2cans (4 ounces each) whole button mushrooms, drained

1can (8 ounces) sliced bamboo shoots, drained









Preparation:





1.Combine cornstarch, broth, oyster sauce, sugar, ginger and pepper in small bowl; mix well. Set aside.2.Heat oil in wok or large skillet over high heat. Add shrimp; stir-fry until shrimp turn pink, about 3 minutes.3.Add broccoli to wok; stir-fry 1 minute. Add mushrooms and bamboo shoots; stir-fry 1 minute. 4.Stir cornstarch mixture; add to wok. Cook and stir 2 minutes or until sauce boils and thickens.
