Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1/2 pound brown sugar
2 eggs
1 3/8 cup flour
1 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
6 ounces chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt butter in a saucepan. After butter is melted stir in brown sugar; let mixture cool. When cool, add vanilla and eggs 1 at a time beating with a whisk. Add flour and baking powder to the mixture; stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour batter into an ungreased 9x9 square pan and bake for 20 minutes.
