Frozen Peanut Butter-Banana Dessert (recipes)




Yield: Makes 4 servings



Ingredients:



2large ripe bananas, cut into 1/2-inch slices

1/2cup no-sugar-added natural peanut butter (creamy or chunky)

1/2cup half-and-half









Preparation:





1.Place bananas in single layer in plastic freezer bag; freeze until firm, at least 8 hours. Combine peanut butter and half-and-half in food processor container fitted with steel blade; cover and process until smooth. Add frozen bananas; let stand 10 minutes to soften slightly. 2.Process until smooth, scraping down sides of container frequently. (Dessert will be soft-set.) Serve immediately or cover and freeze in airtight container until serving time. Freeze leftovers.







Note:

Place frozen dessert in refrigerator 15 to 20 minutes before serving or let stand at room temperature 10 minutes before serving to soften slightly.
